The PLATFORM WARS project is co-organizing a workshop on 'Tech Rivalry and the Global Power Reordering' together with the ReGlobe project at VU Amsterdam and the CODE project at Vrije Universiteit Brussel.

The Conflict Studies program at Utrecht University celebrates its 25th anniversary with a conference and PLATFORM WARS' Marijn Hoijtink will take part in a panel, organised by RAW researcher Lauren Gould, which exmaines the role of universities and the private sector in modern warfare.

In the last week of January, the PLATFORM WARS project is organizing a three-day workshop at the University of Antwerp under the title 'Platforms on the Frontline'.

In November 2024, the ‘Investigating the Kill Cloud’ conference in Berlin brought together a wide range of academics, activists, practitioners and whistleblowers to discuss and critically assess the impact of AI and data-driven technologies on the wars of today and tomorrow.

The 'launch' event gathered people who have inspired the project. On 6-7 June, we brought this group of scholars together at the University of Antwerp to discuss some of the challenges of the PLATFORM WARS project.
